Please be aware that several roads around church are being changed.
As part of Middlesbrough Council road safety improvements several more estate roads have a maximum 20 mph limit.
The national speed limits is now the default limit for the full length of Marton Road.
Vehicles are limited to a maximum of 30mph from the A66 in central Middlesbrough out to the 2nd Pool roundabout heading toward Stokesley on the A172. There is no requirement to sign the road as 30 is the default ! No signs = national speed limit. In this case they are imposing fines and points for 35mph and above.
Ormesby Bank -
Access to Swans Corner roundabout will normally be blocked from Guisbrough Road.
There will be days when Nunthorpe bypass will need to close.-
Parents dropping off and collecting from Nunthorpe Academy & Primary are asked to turn around in the schools car park and leave the village via Dixons Bank. Many extra cars are using the estate roads as alternative drop off points.
Is being used as an unsigned diversion now the road works for the new “Borough Road & Nunthorpe” health site have been reduced.
During ICE and Snow -
This junction can be difficult in poor conditions as the Sainsbury delivery van found last week.
Nunthorpe Level Crossing
has been protected by local Police, Wardens and Rail repair teams due to failure of the gates.
Repairs are underway as closure of the junction would close the east side of the village !
If you use alternative routes -
Turn Left at the Southern Cross Junction on to Stainton Way
From Ormesby, Guisborough and All points East and Stokesley
You will need to enter the village at Pool.
