Pastoral  Leaders' Meeting
A Pastoral Leaders’ meeting to be chaired by Rev David Godfrey has been arranged for Monday, 3 October 2022 at 7.30pm at church. Existing leaders  and anyone interested in volunteering for this important work are invited to attend (additional leaders are needed). Please contact Ron Mapplebeck (01642-814998 or email

Offertory – We are going to reintroduce the offertory bags at Sunday services from Sunday 9th October. The offertory plate will no longer be placed at the back of the church but the stewards will pass the bags along each row of the congregation

Methodist Women in Britain Events. Friday 7th October  A meeting has been arranged at Marton Methodist Church on starting at 2pm. The speaker will be Mrs. June McCleave who


will be updating us on the latest news about the district Project DKMS, which she and her son are very involved with. She is a very interesting speaker and we hope to show some items from a You Tube site that her son has set up. There will be a bring and buy stall to raise money for the project and of course, refreshment to follow. EVERYONE IS WELCOME.

MWiB Autumnn Day,at Guisborough Methodist Church  14th October  Pamela Stenson will be inducted as the new President. Refreshments from 10.15am for service at 11am. The afternoon session will be from 2pm to 4pm. Please bring a packed lunch, drinks provided. All day parking is available at Belmont View, Fountains Place, Rectory Lane TS14 7JA £2 charge, EVERYONE WELCOME. For more information about these events contact Beryl Haggath - it would be great to see some new faces at these events to represent our Middlesbrough and Eston Circuit. K. Smithies.

Circuit Songs of Praise to be held at Avenue on Sunday October 16th at 6pm.The theme is Celebration, and there will be some wonderful hymns to help us to share that joy. Also it has been a long time since we got together as a Circuit to sing, so here is a great opportunity for us to be together again  Dave Elliott
